It was the dream of Shaikhuna armiya' kutty musliyar, a distinguished scholar, Sufi, jurist (Faqih), Qari, and one of the founding members of the Samastha Kerala Jameyathul Ulama and it's Mushawara, to establish an institution that prioritized Qiraa’th and Thajweed. To fulfill this dream, he entrusted his disciple, Usthad Abdur Razzaq Furqani, and embarked on the Hajj pilgrimage.However, he passed away in Makkah on the night of Arafat.

The structured institution of Al Markazul Farooqi was established in 2000 under the guidance and blessings of the prominent Sufi and spiritual guide, Shaikhuna Kavannoor Muhyiddin Kutti Musliyar, with a greater emphasis on Thajweed and Qira’ath.
